Juwan Chambers

Hailing from Queens, NY, Juwan Chambers is an award-winning director, writer, producer, and actor striving to become Hollywood’s next big multi-hyphenate. Growing up, he dreamed of being a singer until he discovered a passion for filmmaking at age 9 and taught himself the craft. This eventually led him to serve as the Student Director for his high school musical.

In May 2018, he graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Cinema and a minor in Sociology. That summer, he launched Switch Up Entertainment, producing acclaimed short films, a documentary feature, and two digital series. Later that year, his original TV script earned him a spot in MACRO's Episodic Lab quarterfinals. Shortly after, his short 1 IN 71 became a semi-finalist at the Trinity International Film Fest and later earned him the Best Director Platinum Award at the Mindfield Albuquerque Film Festival.

Currently, Juwan is developing a new digital series with his producing partner and best friend Colin Carswell. Desiring to leave a lasting impact, Juwan is committed to expanding storytelling possibilities for underrepresented communities through art that is universally engaging, impactful, and relevant.
